The new Spring/Summer 2011 collection centers on a very simple and all too familiar experience: functional demands on an item can change throughout the day. Therefore, EVA BLUT developed a line of every-day objects that adapt to these changing needs: bags that are both easy to carry and intelligent to use, yet slick and stylish in their appearance.

The beauty lies in their simplicity: with a few adjustments a handbag can become a carrier bag or a tote can turn into an elegant shoulder bag. The functionality center theme of the collection is accentuated by the combination of architectural and geometrical shapes that echo industrial aesthetics. The result is a straightforward and clean design that appeals to both women and men.

Contrasts between transparency and denseness, heaviness and lightness, three-dimensionality and flatness underline this visionary collection in which EVA BLUT uses synthetic grid fabric for its minimal weight and durability. In addition, the transparency of the fabric reveals the folding mechanism, which is essential to the bag’s construction.

Through the combination of this progressive material with very strong leather, originally used for carrying devices, the collection has a distinct contemporary look and will appeal to the design-conscious crowd, who want their accessories not only to do the job, but look good, as well.

The colour palette of architectural plans and building sites inspired the collections’ tones of Orange, Grey, Black, Silver and White.
